The following are arrests by Eunice Police. Jan. 24 Kalyn Charm Trumps, 23, 1000 block of North 2nd Street, Eunice. Theft. Tyler Chance Die, 22, 300 block of South 9th Street, Eunice. Probation violation. Keith F. Fruge, 27, 900 block of Williams avenue, Eunice.

Body of Rayne man found along I-10

BODY FOUND ALONG INTERSTATE - At approximately 1 p.m. Monday afternoon near mile marker 88 just east of Rayne, a body was found just off Interstate 10, as reported by Rayne Police.

Eunice man arrested for child porn, indecent behavior with juveniles

Michael Joseph Comeaux, 30 of Eunice, was arrested on one count of possession of pornography involving juveniles and one count of indecent behavior with juveniles., according to a news release from Louisiana Attorney General Jeff Landry.

Body found on I-10

At approximately 1 p.m. Monday afternoon near mile marker 88 just east of Rayne, a body was found just off Interstate 10, as reported by Rayne Police. The deceased was found by a passerby.

Church Point Police seek information to find suspect

Church Point Police are seeking the public’s assistance regarding a Dec. 21, 2018, shooting which occurred at the Martin Luther King Park at 5:25 p.m.  Officers discovered that two people were shot during a robbery. Both victims received non-life threatening injuries.

Police make arrest in Monday shooting

Eunice Police said 19-year-old Daricko Stevens walked into the police department shortly after 8 a.m. Tuesday to inquire if there were any warrants against him. Police then arrested Stevens in the shooting death of Oshae Doffney, 23, of Elton, that occurred about 1:30 a.m.
