The following are arrests by Eunice Police. Sept. 21 Tonya G. Lavergne, 41, 500 block of Highway 29, Eunice. Warrant for armed robbery. Kendall James Lee, 29, 1800 block of Harry Fuslier Road, Crowley. Driver’s license suspension-revocation, red lights, and resisting officer.

Man charged with attempted murder of detective

A 54-year-old Bayou Vista man has been charged with attempted murder of a detective after trying to stab the detective with a knife during an incident, St. Mary Parish Sheriff Scott Anslum said in a news release. Paul Levergne, 54, of Canal Road in Bayou Vista, was arrested at 11:39 a.m.

Equipment theft under investigation

Crime Stoppers of Acadia Parish is asking the public’s help to solve a felony theft case. On Monday, Aug. 27, , deputies with the Acadia Parish Sheriff’s Office began an investigation into the theft of two Multiquip air compressors, black and gray in color.

Motorcycle pursuit leads to one arrest by the EPSO

The Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office has reported the arrest of one individual following a motorcycle pursuit that occurred last weekend. In a release from the EPSO, the suspect in this matter was identified as 30-year-old Stephen Paul Godeaux.
