Louisiana troopers to get body cameras

The Louisiana State Police will equip troopers statewide with body cameras. State Police announced their forthcoming statewide deployment of TASER’s “Axon Body 2” body cameras. This statewide deployment will be the first of its kind among state public safety agencies in the country.

Mamou theft suspect may be in Eunice area

The Mamou Police Department is requesting assistance in locating Jacob Jack, who is wanted for theft. Jack became wanted after security footage showed him, along with Alex Ardoin, selling rims that were stolen off of a vehicle in Mamou at a local recycling business in the area, police said.

St. Landry Parish Sheriff's Office arrests

The following are arrests reported by the St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office. Dec. 28 Christopher J. LeBleu, 45, 4100 block of Whiteville Road, Ville Platte. Simple criminal damage, criminal trespass.
