Crash into crawfish pond in St. Landry Parish kills Baton Rouge woman

A 19-year-old Baton Rouge woman, Shelby Bersuder, died in single-vehicle wreck on La. 104 west of U.S. 190 at about 11 p.m. Friday, according to a news release from Louisiana State Police Troop I. Bersuder was driving a 2003 Ford Ranger east on La.

Eunice Police warn of vehicle burglaries

A string of vehicle attacks on vehicles in Eunice have occurred in the past three to four weeks, according to Eunice Police Chief Randy Fontenot.

Eunice mom, acquaintance accused of abusing 35-year-old woman

Two Eunice women have been charged with aggravated battery of a 35-year-old woman, according to Acadia Parish Sheriff KP Gibson. One of the women charged, Sarah Montet, 57, is the mother of the victim, Gibson said. The person arrested is Brances Guillory, 45, also of Eunice.
