Woman blames $80K theft on gambling problem

A Mamou woman said a gambling problem led her to use a Eunice company’s credit cards to steal about $80,000, according to an arrest warrant affidavit. Megan Reed Francois, 33, of the 2200 block of Duculus Road, Mamou, was arrested on April 22 for access device fraud.

Couple arrested for counterfeiting

An Arnaudville man and Opelousas woman were arrested at an Opelousas motel for counterfeiting. St. Landry Parish Sheriff Bobby Guidroz said in a news release that Creig Jacquneaux was in Lafayette Parish on felony warrants.
