Fun, frivolity and shenanigans will be the theme for the Men Who Wait on Women Who Wine, sponsored by Women United, an affinity group of St. Landry-Evangeline United Way.
St. Landry-Evangeline United Way will be participating in South Louisiana Giving Day, a project of Community Foundation of Acadiana, on May 10.
The St. Landry-Evangeline United Way Boogie Ball will be held on from 7 to 11 p.m. Oct. 28 at the Opelousas Delta Grand Theatre.
United Way of Acadiana will be launching Flood the Love, a community donation drive to collect essentials, in response to Hurricane Harvey in Texas and the consequent flooding across Louisiana.
Volunteers are needed to assist a group of about 100 people who are to arrive Saturday to do repairs to flood-damaged residences in St. Landry, Acadia and Evangeline parishes.
