Bobcats ready for Tigers

The Eunice Bobcats rolled to a 27-7 win over Iota in the Joe Nagata Memorial jamboree on a relatively dry field. The elements will be a lot different Friday night as the remnants of Hurricane Harvey soaked the Bobcat Field grass all week.

Eunice rolls past Bulldogs

Eunice High didn’t waste any time in taking control of their game against Iota in the Joe Nagata Memorial Jambore played at Bobcat Stadium. The Bobcats received the opening kickoff and drove 75 yards in 11 plays to take a 7-0 lead over the Bulldogs.

Trojans down Blue Jays, 28-6

The Blue Jays got an early turnover on an interception by Kaden Fontenot, but the Sacred Heart Trojans would control the scrimmage for a 28-6 win over St. Edmund as the the two teams opened the fifth-annual Joe Nagata Memorial Jamboree at the Eunice High Bobcat Field.

Jamborees kick off season

Thursday night, the lights will turn on and the fans will fill stadiums all around the area ina a preview of the high school footbal season. The threat of stormy weather has forced the change for the fifth-annual Joe Nagata Memorial jamboree.

Nagata jamboree to honor Fuselier

The Joe Nagata Memorial football jamboree was spearheaded by Tony Fuselier who served as jamboree chairman with its first games played in August 2013. Fuselier died at age 64 on April 14, 2017 and the jamboree board will honor his memory Friday night at Eunice High School.

Kaplan runs past Bobcats

The Kaplan High Pirates used an impressive rushing attack against the Eunice High Bobcats in a football scrimmage played Thursday at Bobcat Stadium.
