Bobcats down Rayne, 10-5

The Eunice Bobcats captured a 10-5 decision over the Rayne Wolves in Metro League action Tuesday at Bobcat Field. Rayne scored two runs in the top of the first inning against Eunice starting pitcher Jessi Linch, but the Cats tied the game with two runs in the bottom of the first inning.

‘Mr. Baseball’ bypasses LSU for Angels

The Eunice Bobcats captured a 10-2 victory over Beau Chene in Metro League baseball action Tuesday evening at Bobcat Field. The Bobcats took a 1-0 lead in the first inning when Grant Fontenot walked, stole second base and scored on a single by Josh Youngblood.

BATON ROUGE – Two players who led their teams to LHSAA titles headline the Louisiana Sports Writers Association’s Class 3A All-State baseball and softball teams.

The Eunice High Bobcats and the Opelousas Catholic High Vikings dominated the 2017 All-St. Landry Parish Baseball Team as selected by the parish baseball coaches.

Bobcats begin Metro league play

The Eunice Bobcats scored eight runs in the first four innings to take an 8-2 win over Sacred Heart in Metro League action Monday evening at Bobcat Field. The game was limited to five innings by agreement of both coaches as inclement weather became a factor.

11 Bobcats named to 5-3A team

Four of the six District 5-3A baseball teams earned playoff spots with Eunice High and Church Point both advancing to the regional rounds. District champion Church Point opened the playoffs with a 10-0 win over No. 22 Union Parish. The No. 11 Bears (19-9, 9-1) then fell to No. 6 Buckeye, 10-0, 3-2.
