The Lady Jays had a strong showing in their own tournament as St. Edmund grabbed four wins in the Brad Fontenot Memorial Holiday Shootout.
St. Ed’s earned a 45-31 win over Welsh, aided by 30 points in the first half.

In one of the toughest Class 1-A districts in the state, four of the six teams earned a spot in the playoffs.
No. 15 Opelousas Catholic captured the District 6-1A title with a perfect 5-0 record. The Vikings advanced to Div. IV quarterfinals with wins over No. 18 St.
