The 24th annual Noel on the Prairie was held Saturday and Sunday. The Holiday Shopping Spree gala event was held at 37 participating Eunice businesses.

The Charles Drew High School class of 1968 held a reunion. Classmates had the opportunity to get together and enjoyed food, fun and festivities during four days, Oct. 19-22.

The NAUW Eunice Branch sponsored and held a Breast Cancer Awareness Walk on Oct. 26. The walk included breast cancer survivors, different organizations, groups, individuals and churches were represented.
The Fall meeting for Louisiana Garden Club Federation District VII took place on Oct. 19 hosted by the Oakdale Garden Club. The venue was decorated celebrating the season of Autumn.
A Blue Star Memorial Marker was unveiled on October 23 in Jennings at the Southwest Louisiana Veterans Cemetery in honor of men and women who serve in the Armed Forces.
