EHS Alumni gives donation to EHS sports

Eunice High Alumni Asssociation made a monetary donation to the four groups that play a vital part in helping the EHS Alumni tourney possible, EHS baseball, tennis, volleyball/girls basketball and cheerleading.

Rotary Club sponsored food drive winners at East

East Elementary held a food drive on campus. Students donated over 2,200 items to the annual Eunice Rotary Club food drive. Vanessa Cormier’s fourth grade class was the winning class. They are pictured with Rotary members, Donnie Richard, Shirley Vige, and Donald Mayeux.

Food drive at Eunice High

The annual food drive at Eunice High, sponsored by the Pay It Forward Club, was a huge success as students gave food items for the annual Eunice Food Bank Food Drive. Students collected and donated over a ton of food items.

Birth Announcements

Rosaleigh LaFleur Madison LaFleur announces the birth of her daughter, Rosaleigh Renee LaFleur, born at Acadian Medical Center on Dec. 6 weighing 7 pounds and 12.6 ounces. Maternal grandparents are T-John LaFleur and Nicole Harrell. She was welcomed home by Violet LaFleur.

Simple ways to prolong the life of poinsettias

I love the rich red and white colors of poinsettias. It’s my all-time favorite Christmas seasonal plant. The red foliage on poinsettias are actually modified leaves called bracts. The flowers are the small, yellow buds in the center of the plant.

Student of the Year named at Eunice High School

Eunice High School named its Student of the Year. Philippe Soileau, a senior, received the honor. Soileau has been an honor roll student for four years, and was named Top Cat his sophomore year and Outstanding Junior his junior year.

Giant mouse traps at St. Edmund High

Clay Harper’s Physical Science class at St. Edmund High designed and tested a mousetrap car focusing on Newton’s three laws of motion.
