The dawn of a new school year provides a host of opportunities for students and their families. Students begin a new school year with a clean slate, while their parents can look at the start of the school year as an opportunity to take active roles in their children’s education.

EHS FFA represented at an Ag Leadership training camp

Eunice FFA Ag Camp

Eunice High FFA members hosted it’s first ever Ag Camp at Eunice High School for students aged 5 to 10 years of age. Fourteen children attended the camp.

Free CPR training class at Eunice High

Teachers at Eunice High School Tuesday morning were hands-on during a free learning CPR class provided by CPR instructors in the St. Landry Parish School system. All of St. Landry Parish schools were provided with a CPR lesson. Keenya Alfred, a teacher at Eunice High does chest compressions.

Prepare kids to go back to school

The end of summer can be a bittersweet time for students. While many students look forward to seeing their friends, few want to say goodbye to the relaxing days of summer. Parents know that getting their children back in the school day swing of things can be a challenge.

Story Time hour at the library

Judy Kittles, children’s librarian, read from the Mary Alice Fontenot’s series of Clovis Crawfish on July 21. The book she read was, “Clovis Crawfish and Etienne Escargot.” Children had the opportunity to craft and bring home their own Escargot, a snail.

Khloe Blevins Michael Craig and Brooke Renee Blevins of Turkey Creek announce the birth of their daughter, Khloe Mae Blevins, born at Acadian Medical Center on July 16 weighing 6 pounds and 9 ounces.
