Back to School Drive at New Hope Fellowship

New Hope Fellowship Church in Eunice held a Back to School drive thru on July 18. Many vehicles formed a line to receive free school backpacks, school supplies, toothbrushes, a box of kleenex, hand sanitizers at the church parking lot. The church supplied all free supplies and backpacks.

Eunice Jr. HIgh holds a Parade of Honors

Eunice Jr. High School held a Parade of Honors for its students Friday morning, July 17. The purpose of the parade was to recognize and honors seventh and eighth grade students who excelled in the 2019-2020 school year.

Mar’Lei Robins Rozanna Jones and Malcolm Robins Sr. announce the birth of their daughter, Mar’Lei Journae Robins, born at Acadian Medical Center on July 9 weighing 4 pounds and 4.5 ounces. Grandparents are Monica Jones, Greta Robins, Jeamell Jones, and Mike Robins.

DeRouen, Hernandez exchange wedding vows

Emily Camille DeRouen and Juan Pablo Hernandez exchanged wedding vows during a civil ceremony at 10 a.m. on Friday, March 6, at the courthouse in Houston, Texas. The bride is the daughter of Jacques DeRouen of Houston and Elda Cortina of Houston.

Food drive

There was a food drive by Second Harvest and the Greater Eunice Ministerial Alliance Monday afternoon at Word Ministries parking lot. Volunteers handed out food items which included frozen meats and vegetables, fruits, rice, milk, bags of sweet potatoes and canned goods.
