Eunice schools lists its orientation and open house events

Some Eunice schools have announced its orientation and open house events. Eunice High School will have an orientation for ninth graders from 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday followed by an open house from 2 to 3 p.m. St. Edmund School will host an open house from 5:30 until 7 p.m. Tuesday.

Mar’ques Senegal Kaylee Senegal and DeMarques Senegal announce the birth of their son, Mar’ques Paul Senegal, born at Acadian Medical Center on July 24 weighing 7 pounds and 12 ounces. Maternal grandparents are Jeana Roasas of Kinder and Randy Sharon of Shreveport.

Cormier at Liberty Saturday

The “Rendez-vous des Cajuns” Cajun Music Radio & TV show Saturday at the Liberty Center at 6 p.m. will have a performance by Sheryl Cormier & Cajun Sound. Admission is $5. Show starts at 6 p.m. The Liberty opens at 4 p.m. Starting at 10 a.m.

How to help kids make friends at school

Eunice students will begin their first day of school next week. Some school kids may be entering a new school. Kids will meet new teachers, a new principal, and new friends. Making friends in school can make time spent in the classroom more enjoyable for youngsters.
