This week’s Student of the Week is Tylon O. Cooper, a sixth-grader at Central Middle. His parents are Timothy and Alice Cooper.
If you had to live in another part of the world, where would you want to live and why? I like my home. I don’t want to live anywhere else.
Do you have a career wish? I would like to become a NFL player.
What could you eat seven days a week? Pizza, BBQ, shrimp, fried chicken, baked chicken, gumbo and meat and rice.
What could you never eat? Green beans.
The “Rendez-vous des Cajuns” Cajun Music Radio & TV show Saturday at the Liberty Center at 6 p.m. will feature a performance by Ann Savoy & Her Sleepless Knights.
Doors open at 5 p.m. Show starts at 6 p.m.

Chris’ Sacred Heart Christian Books & Gifts has an Angel Tree on display in their store, located at 1701 W. Laurel. Paper cut-out angels in white, yellow, pink, red, purple are hung on a Christmas tree with three written wishes on each one. Angels are designated for men and women residents at OakLane Wellness. Pick up an angel or two, purchase a gift, wrap the gift, place your angel on your gift, and return the gift to Sacred Heart. All gifts will be delivered to OakLane residents in time for their annual Christmas party. Deadline to bring a gift to Sacred Heart is Dec.
