The City of Eunice partnered with the Daisie Mae Foundation, Inc. to offer a free summer feeding program at the Southeast Neighborhood Center, located at 101 City Avenue Drive, that began on June 5 and will conclude on Aug. 9. There are free breakfast served from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. and lunches from 12 noon until 2 p.m., Monday through Friday. Those ages 1-18 years are welcomed. No application or registration is required. Luke Vidrine is the recipient of the 2023 Eunice Rotary Club Community Outreach STEM scholarship. The Experience Louisiana Festival on campus was held from 2015-2018. Festival proceeds funded an endowment with the LSUE Foundation, resulting in an annual scholarship. Vidrine is a graduate of St.

The St. Edmund Dance Team attended the UDA Dance Camp in Hammond. They were awarded Superior for their home routine, Spirit Stick award, Three All American Dancer awards, first place ribbons in drill downs, blue ribbon for performance routine, and qualified for Nationals.

The Eunice Rotary Club gives LSUE $500 scholarships to senior students from Eunice High School and St. Edmund High. Two seniors from Eunice High receiving scholarships are Olivia Pedigo and Makayla Frilot and Blake Summerlin and Joshua Boudreaux are the recipients from St. Edmund High School.

National Garden Club Week is celebrated June 4-June 10, and the Bulb & Blossom Garden Club members will be joining hundreds of federated garden clubs from across the U.S. and internationally in celebrating.
For its May program, members of the Bulb & Blossom Garden Club were treated to a tour of the gardens of Dr. Donnie Barnes. The group enjoyed and admired the beautiful plantings and appreciating the hours and hours of work and talent taken to create this gorgeous landscape.
