Aspiring to continue to learn and grow is one of the keys to a fulfilling life. Sometimes it can be eye-opening to look in the mirror, examine oneself and figure out where there may be room for improvement. Self-improvement is a noble endeavor, and there’s no limit to what one can achieve.

For the April meeting of the Bulb and Blossom Garden Club, members learned about Easter symbols and the Native Lore behind many of the traditions that are followed and the flowers that are associated with the season.

On Monday Deputy Chief Eddie Thibodeaux of the St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office, Lt. Chasity Carrier, School Resource Office, and Lt. Regina Rinaldi of DARE presented to Eunice High students with special needs a gift bag filled with a T-shirt and other fun items.

St. Edmund Catholic School held its annual Spring Fair from Friday until Sunday. There were carnival fair rides, games, a large variety of foods including etouffee, boiled crawfish, burgers, fried fish, snow cones, and more.

Ethan Daigle, a senior at St. Edmund High School, learned at the St. Landry Chamber of Commerce Scholarship Banquet, hosted by Legacy EMS-IV Therapy and St. Landry Economic Development, that he was the recipient of the SLB Scholarship. Daigle is a 2023 graduate of St. Edmund Catholic School.
