NAUW Eunice Branch celebrates Women History Month

March is recognized nationally as “Women History Month” and has done so officially since 1980, when President Jimmy Carter declared it a National holiday and began issuing proclamations. National Women’s Day is March 8 and is celebrated world-wide each year.

Coloring Easter eggs is a time-honored tradition dating back more than 2,500 years. There is evidence that people living in the ancient settlement of Trypillia dyed eggs. Ancient Persians also were believed to paint eggs for Nowruz (Persian New Year).
