The St. Landry Council on Aging held its annual Mardi Gras dance Monday from 1 until 3 p.m. at the Northwest Community Center.
Senior citizens and younger enjoyed live entertainment provided by J & The Zydeco Dog Pound.

Parade of Paws was held Saturday afternoon in downtown S. 2nd with over 35 canine entries. First, second and third place winners were named as well as ribbons presented. The seventh annual Parade of Paws parade was held Saturday at 3 p.m. on downtown South 2nd.
Organizer and event planner Jerica Guillory held registration in front of Beaucoup on S. 2nd for the event before the parade began. There were over 35 entries.
