The Eunice Police Department is investigating Pumpkin Patch Daycare of Eunice after videos surfaced of young children being mistreated by adults who are seen laughing while videoing the incidents.

Eunice Manor Nursing Home recently announced it has been awarded a coveted 5-star quality rating which signifies the highest level of care and service provided by the facility.
The Food Network’s “BBQ USA” TV show will feature UL Lafayette’s Office of Veteran and Military Student Services’ signature fundraising event – Operation Smoke Sheaux. The barbecue contest will air during several upcoming episodes of “Battle on the Bayou.” Episodes will be broadcast on Monday, Aug. 7; Tuesday, Aug. 8; Monday, Aug. 14; and Saturday, Aug. 26. For a competition that literally goes up in smoke every year, the University of Louisiana at Lafayette’s Office of Veteran and Military Student Services’ signature fundraising event has proven an overwhelming success. The Food Network TV show “BBQ USA” agrees.

By Heather Kirk-Ballard LSU AgCenter Horticulturist Admired for its striking appearance, impressive size and dogged resilience, the Suncredible sunflower (Helianthus hybrid) is a cultivar that has captured the hearts of gardeners and nature enthusiasts alike.
Shouts and cries of “Justice for Brittany,” and “No justice No Peace,” echoed around the courthouse on Thursday, July 13, as family members and friends gathered for a peaceful protest. The protest took place 90 days after Brittany Fontenot was found dead in her home in the Chataignier area. The death was ruled a suicide, but the victim’s loved ones claim Fontenot was shot multiple times with multiple guns.
