Adult Educational Cultural Lecture series at library The Louisiana Endowment for Humanities will present Adult Educational Cultural Lecture Series at the Eunice Public Library on Sept. 16 with a reception at 5:30 p.m. followed by the lecture at 6 p.m. Dr.
The Eunice Players’ Theatre will present “The Savannah Sipping Society” with opening at 7 p.m. Sept. 10. The play contains adult content. Eunice lost a renaissance man with the death of Clifton “T” Clause, 89, on Aug. 22. Clause was an educator, businessman, sportsman and family man.

$4.6M parish debt ordinance introduced

The $4.6 million loan sought by St. Landry Parish President Jessie Bellard was introduced at a special meeting Tuesday without discussion. Parish Council member Faltrey Jolivette became the sponsor for the ordinance expected to be on the Council’s regular Sept. 17 meeting agenda.
