Concealed carry class The St Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office is hosting a one-day concealed carry class at 7:30 a.m. Sept. 26 at 211 W. Park Ave., Eunice. The course is $100 dollars and $80 for a spouse.

American Legion craft fair at Kinder KINDER — The Kinder American Legion Post 244 is inviting everyone to a craft fair from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Lambert Park. Organizers have invited 25 food and craft booths including five food trucks to the event on Saturday.

Free COVID-19 testing offered at LSUE LSU Eunice, in partnership with the Louisiana National Guard, will host free COVID-19 testing on select days through Sept. 23. Those interested are asked to pre-register at DoINeedACovid19Test.com, however, on-site registration is available.

Cajun Prairie Society to meet Saturday The Cajun Prairie Habitat Preservation Society will meet this Saturday starting with a tour of the Duralde Prairie site at 8 a.m., them progress to the site on the corner of Martin Luther King and Magnolia. Details are on the website cajunprairie.org.
