Eunice man gets 15 years in prison on sex charge

A Eunice man was sentenced to 15 years in prison for convincing a minor girl to send him sexually explicit pictures, acting U.S. Attorney Alexander C. Van Hook stated in a news release. Adam Shilow, 36, of Eunice, was sentenced by U.S. District Judge Dee D.

Umpire accused of gun threat

An umpire in the baseball game between Eunice High and Church Point High on Tuesday is suspected of pulling a gun out during a disturbance related to the game. Eunice Police Chief Randy Fontenot said the incident began when a player was ejected from the game.
