CDA leads Rosary daily in October Every day during the month of October, Court Eunice 208 Catholic Daughters of the Americas will be leading a rosary at 5:30 p.m. in the rosary garden at St. Anthony’s Church. The public is invited. St. Francis BBQ dinner sale Nov. 7 St.

McNeese rodeo returns, Eunice student is on team

McNeese State University’s 67th annual rodeo returns to Burton Coliseum with a special Halloween rodeo at 7:30 p.m. today open free to the public. The competition begins on Friday with the slack at noon and performances at 7:30 p.m. and resumes Saturdaywith the slack at 9 a.m.

Louisiana Agriculture Hall of Distinction accepting nominations

Thanksgiving, Christmas events center on 2nd Street

The successful Fall Into Downtown cheer is to be continued with holiday events centered on 2nd Street in the coming weeks. Noel on the Prairie is coming up on Nov. 13 and 14. An added attraction during the weekend shopping event is a jam session on Nov. 13 in the Jean Lafitte courtyard.

Edwards lifts mask mandate

Gov. John Bel Edwards announced he will lift Louisiana’s statewide mask mandate in all settings except for K-12 schools, after sustained improvement across the state in terms of new cases, test positivity and hospitalizations.
