State Treasurer John M. Schroder announced small businesses can start applying at 9 a.m. Tuesday for grants through the Main Street Recovery Program. Applications can be completed online at www.louisianamainstreet.

Grab & Go meals for kids through Aug. 5 Restoring God’s Glory Ministries is part of the summer feeding program for kids. Lunches will be available through Aug. 5. There will be a cooked lunch and snacks served daily from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

St. Landry Parish property assessments from 2016 to 2020 increased 8.23%, according to information from St. Landry Parish Assessor Rhyn Duplechain. The parish’s total assessed value in 2020 is $821,181,890, a $62,412,820 increase from the value in 2016.
