Lafayette man charged after body found near Washington

A 24-year-old Lafayette man has been arrested and charged in connection to a body found on La. 359 near Washington on April 2, according to St. Landry Parish Sheriff Bobby Guidroz. The man charged is identified as Nicholas Aymond.

St. Landry Parish extends curfew to April 30

St. Landry Parish has extended a parish-wide adult and juvenile curfew until April 30 to coincide with the state’s Stay at Home Order as part of the response to the outbreak of COVID-19, the coronavirus. The curfew hours in the parish and parish municipalities is 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. daily.
