COA annual Mardi Gras dance set The St. Landry Council on Aging, Inc. will have its annual Mardi Gras dance from 1 to 3:30 p.m. March 4 at the Northwest Center in Eunice. Music will be provided by Big J & the Zydeco Dog Pound, Admission is $2 for age 60 and over. Anyone under 60 admission is $5.

High Court to hear ‘road rage’ case that killed Eunice mother, 3 kids

Louisiana’s top court agreed to hear the case of a St. Landry Parish man whose convictions were reduced in a fiery, 2011 “road rage” crash in Baton Rouge that killed five people including a Eunice native and her three children.

School Board audit includes several findings

A audit of the St. Landry Parish School reported several findings and two incidents of non-compliance. The audit by Kolder, Champagne, Slaven & Company was completed. Dec. 18 and released Jan. 18 on the Louisiana Legislative Auditor’s website, lla.la.gov.
