Police plan bicycle registration program

A city ordinance requiring registration of bicycles has been on the books since July 1978, but in recent years not active. By next week, Eunice Police may be back in the business of registering bicycles, according to Police Chief Randy Fontenot.

COA annual Mardi Gras dance set The St. Landry Council on Aging, Inc. will have its annual Mardi Gras dance from 1 to 3:30 p.m. March 4 at the Northwest Center in Eunice. Music will be provided by Big J & the Zydeco Dog Pound, Admission is $2 for age 60 and over. Anyone under 60 admission is $5.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Mary V. Ceaser, age 84, on Monday, January 28, 2019, at ST. Joseph Catholic Church in Elton, LA. Burial will follow at ST. Joseph Cemetery in Elton. Mary passed away on Tuesday, January 22, 2019.
