Eunice Police make arrest in Monday shooting

A 19-year-old Eunice man has been arrested in the shooting death of Oshae Doffney, 23, of Elton, on Monday. Eunice Police identified the shooter as Daricko Stevens who has been charged with manslaughter and obstruction of justice. Stevens was arrested Tuesday morning.

Angela LeBleu Fontenot

A funeral service for Angela Marie LeBleu Fontenot, 63, will be held on Wednesday, January 23, 2019, at Quirk & Son Funeral Home in Basile at 2:00PM. Fr. Kennon Brown will officiate. Burial will follow at the First Baptist Cemetery in Basile.

Elton man dies in Eunice shooting

A 23-year-old Elton man, Oshae Doffney, died after being shot as he exited his vehicle at the residence of one of the passengers in the 1600 block of West Vine. Avenue, according to Police Chief Randy Fontenot in a news release. Eunice Police received a call at 1:46 a.m.
