Acadia Parish detectives investigate Basile theft

Kaplan man pleads to firearm violations

Sales tax revenues slowed in October

Year-to-date sales tax collections in St. Landry Parish slowed in October compared to September, according to a report from the St. Landry Parish School Board Sales Tax Division. St. Landry Parish collections from January through October were $54,927,360, up 2.

Eunice schools pass the grade

East Elementary School in Eunice achieved the top grade and score in St. Landry Parish in the Louisiana school performance rankings released Tuesday. St. Landry Parish maintained a C in the grades, but dropped from 73.1 to 71.7 in its score. The parish ranked 55th in the state out of 70 districts.
