Sheriff’s office announces 11 recent Acadia Parish arrests

The Acadia Parish Sheriff’s Office has released the names of 11 people who have been recently been arrested for narcotics violations. They are listed along with their photos as follows: • Nicole Lacroix,36, Crowley, two counts of distribution of suboxone.

Werner to speak at LSUE’s commencement

Mary Leach Werner, an oil and gas executive, will be the commencement speaker at Louisiana State University Eunice’s Fall graduation ceremonies. Werner will address the nearly 100 summer and fall graduates and their families in LSU Eunice’s Health and Physical Education Center at 10 a.m. Friday.

Avoyelles Courthouse courtrooms lighting, a/c project nears completion

As the Avoyelles Parish Courthouse prepares to turn 90 this month, minor renovations to the courtrooms are being finished. The $100,000 project isn’t as extensive as parish officials had hoped it would be when a 3rd floor renovation project was envisioned a few years ago.
