Boullion named Cattleman of the Year

Lt. Col. Desormeaux named Grand Marshal of Cattle Festival Parade

Derrick Mitchell indicted for death of Paul Rice

Derrick Mitchell has been indicted for the death of Paul Rice. A Grand Jury indicted Mitchell on Monday for first-degree murder. Mitchell is accused of shooting and killing Rice on July 5, 2012. Rice was shot at the corner of Bailey Street and Felicity Street in Abbeville.

Combat veterans use 2,300-mile paddling trip as therapy

Coping with the experiences of serving in combat is a monumental task many veterans face upon returning to civilian life. Michelle Revoir and Annie Ferguson chose to paddle 2,300 miles in separate canoes down the Mississippi River as a form of therapy.
