Parish, city sales tax collections rebound

St. Landry Parish and Eunice sales tax collections posted increases in September, according to a report from the St. Landry Parish School Board Sales Tax Division. Eunice sales tax collections have been struggling to reach levels for the previous years, but the September report shows a turnaround.

LSUE ACADEMY

Six of the 64 high school students enrolled in the LSUE Academy were introduced at the St. Landry Parish School Board meeting Thursday. LSUE Chancellor Kimberly Russell explained that the LSUE Academy is about six weeks old and has 22 students from St. Landry Parish public schools.
