Old Glory Relay runners stop here

The 46th leg of Old Glory Relay runners stopped in Eunice Wednesday afternoon on the way to their final destination of Tampa, Florida, for a Veterans Day, Nov. 11, ceremony. The run is a fundraiser for Team Red White Blue, a veteran’s outreach.

Tri-Parish jobless rates improve

Staff report September unemployment rates in the Tri-Parish area fell from August and from a year ago, according to not-seasonally adjusted data from the Bureau of Labor & Statistics (BLS). The St. Landry Parish jobless rate in September was 6.8 percent, down from 7.3 percent in August and 8.

Record $191M Powerball ticket sold at Brownie’s
