Early Voting in Eunice set Saturday St. Landry Parish Registrar of Voters office will hold early voting in Eunice for all registered voters from 8:30 a.m. until 6 p.m. Saturday, and Oct. 5 to 7 at Eunice City Hall, second floor, Clerk of Courts office.

EUNICE ~Steven Craig Smith passed away on Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at his home at the age of 56. A Celebration of life will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, September 30, 2017 at Ardoin's Funeral Home in Eunice. Inurnment will follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery.

School Board explores STS issues

During Monday’s Acadia Parish School Board (APSB) meeting, the group considered the resolution to state mineral board for a lease agreement. The school board’s attorney looked at it and said no changes are needed and it will be brought to the full board for approval.

Michael A. Seymour, a Nongame Ornithologist for the Louisiana Natural Heritage Program with Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries, addressed the Crowley Rotary Club on Tuesday. Seymour, raised in Baton Rouge, has been an avid birder for 28 years.
