As heavy rain and strong winds begin to impact Cleco’s service territory, Cleco has nearly 100 crews ready to respond to weather related power outages and clear debris that may come into contact with its power lines.

Jessica Morris, 400 block of North Mallet Street, Eunice. Probation violation, bench warrants for St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office.
Misty Ward, 60, 400 block of Cotton Street, Eunice. Theft.

Aug. 30
Paula Thomas, 54, 800 block of Hwy. 1252, Carencro. Leased-movable/failure to return.
Calvin P. Simoneaux, 57, 200 block of Holly Road, Church Point. Unauthorized entry/business theft.
UPDATE: DISTRICT 03 (ACADIANA REGION) VARIOUS ROAD CLOSURES DUE TO HARVEY

Effective immediately, the following road closures and high water notifications are in place due to heavy rains and high tides. The roads will be reopened as soon as conditions improve.
IOTA~A wonderful mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother and friend, Kathleen B. Miller will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Kathleen died on Monday, August 28, 2017 in the comfort of her home surrounded by her loving family. She was 80.
United Way of Acadiana will be launching Flood the Love, a community donation drive to collect essentials, in response to Hurricane Harvey in Texas and the consequent flooding across Louisiana.
LSUE will close Wednesday. This includes programs at LGMCSW, the Academy and at LSUA.
All Catholic schools in the Diocese of Lafayette will be closed Wednesday.
This includes St. Martin, Evangeline, Lafayette, St. Mary, St. Landry, Iberia, Acadia and Vermilion.
