Support Veteran Funeral Honor Guard

OPELOUSAS – The proposed St. Landry Parish Veteran Funeral Honor Guard needs support from the parish veterans to help it become a reality. Applications can be found on the Honor Guard web-site stlandryvetshonorguard.com or applications can be picked up at any of the city halls in the parish.

School safety enforced

By Myra Miller Lifestyles All Eunice schools, including St. Edmund, will start first day of classes Wednesday. With the start of school, there will be school buses, more car traffic, and some school children walking early in the morning hours and after school hours.

Eunice Rotary Club Golf Tournament

The Eunice Rotary Club Golf Tournament is scheduled Aug. 12 at Kosati Pines at Coushatta beginning with registration at 7 a.m. followed by a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. There will be a $10,000 hole-in-one prize. Lunch will be served afterwards with three flights awarded.
