The following are arrests reported by the St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office. May 10 Eric J. Thibodeaux, 32, 1000 block of Jackson Lane, Melville. Aggravated battery. Ketrick Remon Washington, 34, 100 block of Park Street, Opelousas. Failure to return leased movable.

Ethel Frank Harrison

EUNICE ~ Visitation for Ethel Frank Harrison, age 83, will be held on Saturday, May 13, 2017 from 8:00 am to 11:00 am with funeral services following at 11:00 am, both at New Zion Baptist Church in Eunice, LA. Interment will follow in the Mount Olive Cemetery in Eunice, LA with Rev. Allen W.

Gavin Lane Dupre

Gavin Lane Dupre passed away on Monday, May 8, 2017, at the age of 12. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, May10, 2017, at 2:00 PM. at St. Anthony's Catholic Church with burial to follow at St. Paul Cemetery. Fr. Travis Abadie will officiate.

Boy accidentally shoots self

Eunice Police are saying a 12-year-old boy accidentally shot himself with a semi-automatic pistol at about 5 p.m. Monday at his home. Eunice Police Chief Randy Fontenot said the shooting occurred at the youth’s East Dean Street home.

Eunice Players’ children’s auditions Auditions for the children’s summer play will be held from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday and from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Monday at the theater (121 S. 2nd St.) in Eunice. Children and youth ages 8 to 17 are invited to participate. Exceptions may be made for other ages.
