Eunice Police arrests

The following are arrests by Eunice Police. May 16 Juvenile, 16, Eunice. Second-degree robbery. Ryan Le, 29, 1900 block of Jimbo Street, Eunice. Probation warrant for possession of drug paraphernalia. Lance MIller, 30, 400 block of College Road, Eunice.

Concealed permit class scheduled

The St. Landry Sheriff’s Office will be instructing a state certified concealed handgun course at 7:30 a.m. Saturday. The course is hosted by Harmony Lodge 211 W. Park Ave., Eunice. All proceeds go to local charities. The course is $100 and $80 for the spouse.

Chad Young once sentenced to life for killing his father, mother and brother is to be released from prison in 2020

Chad Young, who was convicted of murdering his father, mother and brother in 1988 and sentenced to life in prison, is to be released from prison in 2020. Young, who was 17 years old when the murders occurred east of Eunice, in November 1988, was in court this morning.

St. Landry Parish Sheriff Office reports arrests

The following are arrests reported by the St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office. May 16: Jessie C. Simon, 46, 100 block of Simon Lane, Palmetto. Two counts of simple assault; simple battery. Lucas James Daigle, 21, 8000 Grand Prairie Hwy., Church Point.
