Donvan "Donnie" Lavergne

With heavy hearts, the family of Donvan “Donnie” Lavergne announces his peaceful passing on December 11, 2024. Born on December 5, 1954, in Eunice to William and Thelma Clavier Lavergne, he passed away after a long battle with cancer. Donnie enjoyed writing, golfing and watching sports.

Suspect driver identified and charged in a hit and run

Kevin Jermaine Thomas, Sr., 49, Eunice, has been charged with one count of Negligent Homicide, one count of Hit and Run (with death or serious bodily injury), one count of driving while license suspended, one count of passing in a No Passing Zone. No bond information available.
