March for Life walk set for Sunday

I have enjoyed writing this column for the past 17 years. But I’ve got to tell you, it’s really a challenge writing one each week in this day and age. You see, I’ve got to be “politically correct” so as to not offend any of my readers.

I love my gas stove — almost as much as I love my Weber gas grill.

The University of Louisiana at Lafayette has joined the Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie, making it the first member of the international network of French-speaking universities and research institutions in the United States.

LSU Eunice has continued its partnership with The Woman’s Foundation as five nursing students were awarded the Frem F. Boustany, Jr., MD Memorial Nursing Scholarship.

Eunice Manor is ranked as one of the top five nursing homes in Louisiana and on Tuesday Lt. Gov. Billy Nungesser stopped there to recognize the facility.

The Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. faced ostracism and criticism as he became a Civil Rights icon, but he pressed on with his mission, said Bishop Brian Stevens, of Faith Hope Missionary Baptist Church, Abbeville.
