One man charged with attempted second degree murder in Sunday shooting

Eunice Police have charged Chrininski Voris, 17, of Eunice, with attempted second degree murder in a shooting incident that occurred on Sunday morning. Eunice Police were dispatched to a residence on Fuselier Street at 10:02 a.m. Sunday in reference to a shooting.

Deanna Young Prather

Deanna Young Prather passed away on Saturday, September 28, 2024 at the age of 80. A Funeral Service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, October 1, 2024 at Quirk & Son Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Terry Swanson officiating. Entombment will follow in S. Paul Mausoleum.

Carl Cart

Carl passed away on the 28th of September at the age of 76. He was at home surrounded by his wife and daughters. Carl was an auto mechanic from the age of 17 and was self employed for 50 of those years.

Mary Jane Bertrand Blanchard

EUNICE–It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mary Jane Bertrand Blanchard, a beloved mother, sister, grandmother, and friend who left this world Saturday, September 28, 2024, at the age of 88, surrounded by her loving family.

KEB city clean up day set Oct. 5. Keep Eunice Beautiful and KEUN, will have a city clean up on Saturday Oct. 5. Registration will be from 8:30-9 a.m. in the lobby of the city hall. Supplies, water and a T-shirt will be given out. From 9 until 11 a.m.

Candidates are supporting the trades

There aren’t many positives to come out of a very noisy 2024 election, but here’s one: There’s growing support to get young people into the trades.
