BASILE- It is with heavy hearts that the family of Michael O. Sonnier announces his passing on Sunday, October 6, 2024, at the Acadian Medical Center in Eunice at the age of 75. A Celebration of Life will be Celebrated at 1 p.m.

Shooting victim found on road dies

Eunice Police were called to the 200 block of Hill Street in reference to a shooting at about 3 a.m. Sunday, according to a news release from Police Chief Kyle LeBouef. Upon arrival, officers discovered one male victim lying in the roadway near a vehicle suffering from a gunshot wound.
