To many, the holidays mean holiday shopping, but are the issues shoppers faced during the pandemic, like lack of supply and shipping delays, a part of Christmas past? Will inflated prices impact the seller, the customer or both? Will shoppers be spending more or less this year?

Here in sunny Los Angeles, it’s raining. It’s too bad it didn’t rain real hard last Saturday. It might have helped firefighters put out the enormous fire under the 10 Freeway near downtown before the heat weakened the pillars and forced the highway to be closed.

No more Mr. Nice Guy on trashing Louisiana!

Big news about all the trash in the Bayou State. Government is going to study the problem. LSU is going to take the lead according to an announcement, made last week, to “help find ways to rid the state of all that trash.” That’s just what we need, another study. Right?

Chataignier students experience AgMagic

More than 1,100 students across a 10-parish region in central Louisiana got to hold a live alligator, see cotton ginned and learn the importance of proper handwashing during a trip through AgMagic, the LSU AgCenter agricultural-themed exhibit.

Picou’s Drug Store in Eunice has opened a new chapter in its 120-year-old history. The drug store at 260 N. 2nd St. has changed ownership. Robby Chachere, who has been the pharmacist for the past 44 years and owner for 20 years, transfered ownership on Nov.

An Opelouas woman has been charged with second-degree murder in the shooting death of another woman on Nov. 17. St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office dispatch received a call at about 5:50 a.m. regarding a shooting. Deputies arrived and found a female gunshot wounds.
