James Glenn Jorden, 69, of Sunnyside, N.Y., passed away on Oct. 2, 2023, at home. James was born on Aug. 6, 1954, in Opelousas, La., to Billy Wayne Jorden and Glenora Jory Jorden. He graduated from Eunice (La.) High School and Louisiana State University, where he majored in theater.

Pedestrian killed on La 95 south of Church Point on Sunday

A crash involving a pedestrian on La. 95 near La. 754, south of Church Point in Acadia Parish claimed the life of 38-year-old Tyler O. Roberts of Rayne. A Louisiana State Police Troop I news release stated it was notified of he wreck at 9:30 p.m. Oct. 8.
