Eunice man surrenders to armed robbery charge

Eunice Police have charged a man with armed robbery at a resident on Sept. 3, according to Police Chief Kyle Lebouef. Devidre Doyle, 23, 500 block of Fred, Eunice is charged with armed robbery with use of a firearm, illegal carrying of weapon, illegal possession of firearm by convicted felon.

Driver killed in head-on crash in St. Landry Parish

A two-vehicle crash on La. 105 near Pitre Road (south of Melville) in St. Landry Parish claimed the life of 47-year-old Antoine Watts of Melville, according to a news release from Louisiana State Police Troop I. Police were notified of the wreck at about 10:30 p.m. Wednesday.
