La. 95 Spur “Tasso Loop” road work planned

La. 95 Spur “Tasso Loop” between the East and West Junction of U.S. 190 will have daily alternating lane closures beginning Monday until Aug. 30 from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., weather permitting. The closures are necessary to allow crews to perform asphalt milling and paving operations.

Festivals Acadiens et Créoles announced the music lineup for the 49th annual three-day FREE Cajun and Zydeco music festival, which will take place Oct. 13 to 15 at Girard Park in Lafayette.

Miss Eunice, Teen Miss Eunice set Aug. 26 The Eunice Pageant Organization, along with the city of Eunice, will present a Miss Eunice Pageant at 7 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 26 at the Northwest Community Center. Doors will open at 6 p.m. Tickets can be purchased from any contestant or at the door for $10.
