Mary Ann Pousson Thibodeaux, age 91, passed away on Monday, December 29, 2025. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, at 10 a.m. at St. Thomas More Catholic Church with Father Sam Fontana officiant. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.

Emile Kieffer Saba

Emile Kieffer Saba passed away unexpectedly on November 24, 2025. Emile was born on April 8, 1939, in New Orleans, Louisiana, to Emile John Saba and Dorothy Mary Kieffer Saba. After graduating from De La Salle High School in 1957, Emile studied at Louisiana State University, graduating in 1961.

Pageants announced The Junior, Teen, Miss and Ms. Cajun Mardi Gras Festival Queen Cajun Mardi Gras Festival pageant is Jan. 17. Junior, Teen and Miss contestants must be from St. Landry, Acadia, or Evangeline parishes. The Ms. competition is open to anyone.

Edie Faye Reed Granger passed away on Monday, December 22, 2025 at the age of 75. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, December 30, 2025 at St. Ann’s Catholic Church (Mamou) with Father Billy Massie Celebrant. Burial will follow in the new St. Ann’s Cemetery.
