Eunice man arrested for attempted murder

A Eunice man wanted for attempted first-degree murder tried tried to escape capture on Monday evening, but ended up on top of grave at St. Paul Cemetery on South 12th Street, according to Police Chief Kyle LeBouef. Oscar LeBlanc III, 30, gave up after a K9 was deployed, LeBouef said.

4th arrest in daycare video case

Eunice Police Chief Kyle LeBouef announced a fourth arrest in the Pumpkin Patch Day Care video case. On Monday, police arrested Katherine Michelle Fontenot, 20, on a felony warrant charging her with six counts of principal to cruelty to juveniles.

Power outage closes LSUE campus

LSU Eunice is closed on Wednesday, August 9 due to a campus wide power outage. The outage was caused after a transformer was hit early Wednesday morning during renovation work on Manuel Hall. All offices are closed until further notice.
