CDA Court #208 meeting set Monday Court Unit 208 of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas next meeting will be held at 6 p.m. Monday in the Jeanmard Hall, North 3rd. All members are reminded to bring any non-perishable item to contribute to the ongoing support of the Eunice Food Bank.
Plans are in motion to construct two detention ponds in Church Point, one in the Low Bottom area, and another near Corporation Street. The ponds, funded by a $2.9 grant from the Louisiana Watershed Initiative, will help to alleviate flooding in the  community. Baton Rouge–Louisiana has officially surpassed 18,000 COVID-19 deaths since the state recorded its first COVID-19 death on March 14, 2020. The Louisiana Department of Health reported 18,009 people have died in its Friday COVID-19 data update.
