Plans are in motion to construct two detention ponds in Church Point, one in the Low Bottom area, and another near Corporation Street. The ponds, funded by a $2.9 grant from the Louisiana Watershed Initiative, will help to alleviate flooding in the community. Louisiana surpasses 18,000 from COVID-19

Baton Rouge–Louisiana has officially surpassed 18,000 COVID-19 deaths since the state recorded its first COVID-19 death on March 14, 2020. The Louisiana Department of Health reported 18,009 people have died in its Friday COVID-19 data update.

Clarice was born on August 14, 1933, to Pierre and Inez LeJeune. She was an adventurous woman who loved to explore new places with family and friends.
