TRIAD meets here

The TRIAD workshop, a quarterly St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s sponsored event, was held from 9 a.m. until noon Wednesday at the VFW Post 8971 Hall. Live music was provided by Glenn Dale Fontenot of Breaux Bridge as well as door prizes were given away donated by merchants and health care providers.

The following are arrests by Eunice Police. September 15 Jeffery Ryan Menard, 42, 800 block of Belle Terre, Eunice. Bench warrant. Angel Lynn Sweeney, 37, 1700 block of West Peach Street, Eunice. Theft less than $1,000.

Chamber plans political forum

The Eunice Chamber of Commerce and the LSUE Student Government Association (SGA) are co-hosting the 2022 Political Forum. The Forum will be held in the Health/Science Technology Auditorium on the LSUE Campus at 5:30 p.m. Oct. 18.

Officer demoted, reasons detailed

Eunice Police Lt. Stephanie Myers was demoted to police officer in a disciplinary action approved by the Board of Aldermen, according to a letter released by Mayor Scott Fontenot on Friday.
